This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Market Catalysts, LLC ("Market Catalysts", "we", "us") collects when you use marketcatalysts.com and our related services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information: your email address, name (if you give one) and login details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
Subscription and payment information: your plan, subscription status, billing history and the last four digits and brand of your card. Card numbers are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe, and never reach or are stored on our servers.
Usage information: pages you visit, features you use, device and browser type, IP address and approximate location, collected through server logs, cookies and similar technologies.
Messages: anything you send us, such as support emails.

How We Use Information

To create and secure your account and give you the features you've paid for.
To process payments, free trials, renewals and cancellations, and to send receipts and billing notices (including notice of any price change).
To operate, maintain and improve the Service and understand how it is used.
To respond to you and send service announcements.
To send marketing emails, if you have not opted out. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
To prevent fraud, abuse, account sharing and security incidents, and to comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Service Providers We Use

We share personal information only with providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it:

Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
Supabase — account login and storage of account and subscription records.
Google — "Sign in with Google", if you choose it.
Vercel and Amazon Web Services — website and server hosting.
Email delivery providers — sending account and billing emails.
YouTube and Vimeo — videos embedded in some articles. When you play an embedded video, those services may set their own cookies under their privacy policies.

We also use Google Gemini to help produce market research content. We do not send it your personal information.

We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, property or safety of Market Catalysts, our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to run the site, and similar technologies to understand site usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but you may need them to log in and use Premium.

Data Retention

We keep account information while your account is open. When you delete your account (Account → Danger Zone), we delete your account and subscription records and your Stripe customer profile. We, and Stripe, may keep transaction records for as long as tax, accounting and other laws require.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights and Choices

You can update your profile and password in your account settings, cancel your subscription at any time from Account → Billing, and delete your account from Account → Danger Zone. You can opt out of marketing emails with the unsubscribe link. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of your personal information. To make a request, email kris@marketcatalysts.com. We will verify your request using the email on your account and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California Residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request deletion and correction; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. In the past 12 months we collected the categories described above (identifiers, commercial information such as subscription history, and internet activity), for the purposes described above, and disclosed them only to the service providers listed. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA. To exercise your rights, email kris@marketcatalysts.com. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask the agent for proof of authorization.

Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Disclaimer

Data provided by Market Catalysts is for informational purposes only and is not intended for trading or investment purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the data and are not liable for errors, omissions or delays, or for actions taken in reliance on it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or on the Service before it takes effect.
